oh MY! this is my one HUNDREDTH post!!

i can't believe it.
i think blogs are *so* cool.
it's like these little pieces of your life that you otherwise wouldn't remember.
and now that there's blurb, you can make a book out of it!
a different form of scrapbooking... cool man!

my friend shelley is here to visit for the weekend... we've had so much fun!

chain of events:
thurs: potbelly's
fri: laid out, went to lunch, then happy hour at pot's. thennn at night we went to my cousins' house for a party and out to baja's.
sat: shelley (the hairmaster) hooked me up with some color. pics later! i had to work tonight :( but i was ridiculously exhausted anyway.

isn't my shellbell the cutest?! i'm going to miss her so much :(

think of something to try and alleviate the pressure of some of your more mundane, difficult, or dreaded tasks. today i went out early and picked up bagels and coffee to enjoy while doing some homework.

some other suggestions:

- do the dishes with your ipod

- do your chores during the commercials of your fave TV show. by the time the show is over, you'll have a clean room and be able to scrap! :)

- dance your way around the carpet with a vacuum

what do you do to make your chores less boring?

i freaking love that show.
at the moment, kirsten is battling alcoholism and ryan thinks marissa is sleeping with his brother.

tomorrow, i have off.
meaning, no school AND no work.
NO JOKE!!!!

however, i have some stuff to do (of course.)
- lab report and module one for OLC
- study for GREs (that's on the list every day)
- barbeque? blah.
- gym

SO! for every hour that i spend doing the above, i get 2 hours in my studio :).
that's a good plan.

does anybody else make to-do lists every day?
i also write things on the list just to cross them off.

these are the things that have been stressing me out, more lately, than i have ever been stressed out in my life. (does that make sense?)

1. graduation
2. studying/registering for/taking GREs, this test that basically determines my entire academic and professional career
3. ridiculously hard classes this semester/insane amount of homework
4. recovering from a breakup
5. grad school applications... choosing where to go.. choosing a program
6. having all of my roommates move out at once, leaving me with new ppl i don't know
7. best friend moved away
8. work
9. money (lack of)

soooo life isn't that peachy right this minuto.
but get this.
i was driving in my car yesterday down tennessee and i came to this great no wonderful realization. in three months, i will be graduated (1,3). i will be moved out of tallahassee (4,6,8). i will (hopefully) have already been accepted to the graduate program which is (hopefully) right for me (2,5).

how cool is that?!

kind of bummed that everyone is going to orlando tomorrow and i can't go due to work-related incidents. and by incidents i mean i have a shift on saturday from 3-10 pm. BOOOO!!!! guess i shouldn't complain though, since i legit had to break in to the piggy bank tonight to afford cover charges. where there's a will, there's a way :).

but i do love my girlies :) and boys.
please ignore sweat/ridic end-of-night hair. it comes with the 15.8 billion freshman that have been flooding our clubs lately... also, refer back to dancing statement.

sooo. today was my first day of school! ever. i mean, my last, first day ever. well, except for grad school i guess. i can't believe that i'm graduating in december!
i went to my advisor today, just to be sure all my credits are in order. and o m g they are!!
it went a little something like this:

me: hi, um, i just wanted to like, see if all my credits and stuff were in order so i could, well you know, graduate college.
tricia: yeah dude. you're good to go. congrats man!
me: aw, man. i was hoping you would tell me that i had like, another year to go.
tricia: nah dude, sorry.

i don't actually talk like that (i think.)
she does. tricia rocks :).

my day was very very long, as all mondays will be. to make a long story short, my first class is in Psych building ONE (which is like, the top left corner of a layout, right?) and my second class is in Psych building TWO (bottom right corner) and my third class is back in PB ONE (top left again.) who knows.
i legit could not keep my eyes open when i got home and took a way-too-long nap.

my mom comes down to florida to visit at the end of every summer... it's a wonderful time! :)

after our return last year, i started typing out my thoughts. i added photos, art, and stories. one year later, this is my blog :) :).

you may have noticed some changes! i made the colors lighter and brighter (it seems happier and more upbeat somehow) and edited/added some of the sidebar links. check em out! hmm what else... i plan on getting back into posting regularly (every day?) again. after being away for the summer and the turmoil of events that have unfolded since i've been back, i haven't had much time. i changed my pic, and made some other small changes too! i liiike.

well, i'm traveling europe for the summer. so obviously, this post could get very very long.

but the real good news is: despite the fact that i have posted twice since being in europe, i have been keeping a pretty intensive journal. kind of like anne frank. but not. so even though it seems like i am MIA and so wrapped in this lifestyle that i've forgotten to do what i do... i have not. quite the contrary, in fact.

i can't wait to get back in the swing of things... but for now, it's very important for me to live every moment.

seriously amazing here! if you ever get the chance to travel europe, hit up the greek islands. we went from athens to mykonos to ios to santarini and it's beautiful, gorgeous, incredible. finally on my way to italia after a month of traveling... yipee!! :)

jumped in the car today to go pick up the mail.

(i do that, because it's pretty far from my house. especially when i'm in my slippers and pj's. sans bra.)

there goes my life was on the radio, and as it ended, the D.J. goes,

i love that, because i cried so hard when that song was over.

it is so touching. and he sings it so well.

1. i haven't eaten out at all this week (and barely at all last week.)
2. i've never spent this much on jeans.
3. i've been using a lot of coupons lately on stuff (saving money, and one could say this money i've saved has added up to form an imaginary account, which has paid for the jeans, so in essence... these jeans were free!!
4. i bought a second pair of jeans with these ones because they were American Rag (my fave brand) and on sale... and they rang up for a little over $10!!!!!!!!!! woooo hooo!!
but most of all...
4. i've been working my ass off every day for the past couple of weeks!! i think i deserve a little splurge, don't you? (mom, don't answer that.)

last night i went to the kenny chesney concert. i got some seriously great pics and some short video clips.. even though we were far from the stage. fell in love with my camera all over again. PS, i could just spread kenny on a cracker. will update with pics later...

and what i mean by that is, will i actually do this?
i think not.
but maybe re-reading this post at a later time will inspire me.

the idea: a new morning ritual. (and by morning, i mean, when i wake up. which lately, due to work, has been around 11 or 12. but usually, this means sometime between 2 and 4.) a new morning ritual in addition to a) calling mom for a "hi" as i'm rolling out of bed, b) peeing and then peaing *5 min tops*, c) brushing teeth, d) leaving house. the whole system usually takes about 10 minutes or so.
the ritual: doing something really quick and creative. just to get the ball (and by ball i mean day) rolling. maybe keeping a notebook. writing a quote, painting a circle, or snipping the edge of a piece of paper randomly and violently like when i got bored in elementary school and all the good stuff was in a plastic box in my desk. woohoo!

the problem: i'm half-dead in the A.M. like, literally, classified as at least comotose.

wonderful news!! i am enjoying my only day off for about... 12 days. yipee! i had lunch with andi at crispers (YUM!), went to the mall to make a couple of returns, oh, and got a mani/pedi!! yessss. of course, i am dying to book some scrapping time. but first, i had to make these invites! my birthday is june 8th :). i'll be in europe, but i'm celebrating with my family beforehand with a special dinner. i am so excited :) more later... xo

i just spent 15 minutes in the shower contemplating some stuff. i'm in a weird mood... i'll call it "unguessed." rhymes with "undressed." meaning: unhappy/guilty/stressed.

i decided to be a little reflective and think about the possible reasons i may be feeling this way:

1. haven't been eating healthy enough lately (my mom says this is very important for feeling well and i agree. bought like, a million healthy things at publix last night though.)

2. fafillion things on my To-Do list.

3. been having violent dreams every night recently and feeling really shitty about them throughout the day.

4. spending way too much money and not feeling guilty about it because i am working woman actually backfires and therefore causes me to feel guilt.

5. i feel ugly.

i then decided to look around and be a little more appreciative of Life Today.. here's what i came up with:

1. MAC nail polish, "Kid Orange."

2. 5 pink lines crossing off to-do's. also, finding all my important documents today.

3. having a boyfriend who makes me laugh this hard, and also who will take me to see THIS MOVIE tonight even though he really, really doesn't want to see it.

4. the best bed ever, even if i don't spend as much time in it as i want to.

5. my mom is back from Italy and i could now chat with her as much as usual. YIPEEEE!!

i don't like conventionalism!

i just don't.

this includes persons (not naming names) who try so hard to be different that they blend in with all the emos, goths, or other "differents".

i'm going to try really hard to raise my kids right. and "right" to me is allowing them to express themselves, creating their own happiness, and doing the right thing by their own standards. this seems to be an important thing in a world that's trying so hard to make you be like everyone else.

anyways, i'm making this little book type thing. it's about the "rules" that i hope my future kids follow, mainly advice and life lessons that i believe in. here are the first few pages:

BREANNE proclaimed me as "product-inspired" kind of scrapper, and it's true. although i get really inspired with new pics or magazines, i especially love new goodies!

so i saw a thread about "what's on your desk right now?" at 2PEAS and here's what's been on mine. isn't this exciting??! it's been spread out like that since i returned home from xmas vacation. i like looking at it. hehe.

2007 Resolutions

i feel like resolutions are pointless sometimes.
like when you just say
"i resolve to get skinny and stop biting my nails and save money."
like... what a joke.

so instead, this year, i'm going to set up a plan.
a specific set of goals, month by month.
and hopefully they will inspire you too.

i know i'm not perfect, and things come up.
things change.
piece by piece, i will make my goals possible.

seriously? wtf.

i have become obsessed with a few select kits lately, especially because one of my resolutions is to stop spending all my money on scrapbook stuff. my credit card bill is so run up, i don't have a job, and no money in the bank. cool. also, kits are *sooo* fun. they are full of such greatness, and so inspirational to see all of the products together in one box. i love them. OH also... they post the galleries of their design team members actually using the kits, and it always gives me so so much inspo.

the "wtf" part is because they are SOO dang hard to get. it's like meeting the president. except i would rather have the kits.

so here's the story on my faves:

JENNI BOWLIN: this is the only kit i have subscribed to in the past, and i LOVE it. finally got another subscription today. also bought some of her exclusive products. you don't pay for a certain amount of months in advance... you just receive a kit for like $28 every month until you cancel. love that.
SCRAPOLOGIE: in the midst of e-mailing stacey back and forth trying to get my subscription to go through. january kit looks rad and i think i'm getting it :). buying a 3-month sub.
POPPY INK: wowww. this site just pisses me off. it's like the cutest thing ever with the best designers and gallery and i just can't get on the list. told mom i didn't have the clout (?)... teared up a bit too.
ZINGBOOM: wowza! january was their first kit and i think they are so awesome. was especially excited to see my FAVE scrapper over there on the DT. pay pal was acting up today when i tried to order february's kit... it better still be there tomorrow or you'll be seeing a lot more of this: *&^@^%#!(*@*)#!!! also.... i tried out for their design team and got an honorable mention! so i might be doing something special later on in the year :D :D.

not a big deal, thank God.

but on top of flu symptoms, cramps, AND a toothache!

BUT chris was so sweet about it. we went there at like 1030 and there were seriously like 100 people in the waiting room. so he offered to stay there with me or go to school clinic in the morning, and since i wanted the drops right then we waited. and he wasn't mad at all :). he was so patient and making me laugh hehe. it wasn't so bad.

it's been a good weekend... went out thursday night (to pub of course), got a lil (lot) crazy.
scrapbooked on friday.
went to the game yesterday to see my noles lose:

and as expected, tally was pretty dead after that. so i came home, watched some movies, and scrapped. not bad if you ask me. i watched "what lies beneath", "runaway bride" (with, ah! christopher meloni!), "american beauty" (weirdest movie ever)... and some other stuff.

as far as my own personal judgements go, at least.
this is probably one of my favorite LOs i have ever made.
well it's at least in top 5.
of anything, (being praised, DT work-related stuff, being offered money to scrap for ppl), my *fave* feeling of joy and accomplishment is when i make something that *i* truly enjoy, something that speaks volumes to *me*.
so without further ado.

to be honest (yes, i'm still talking about this same LO) the scan doesn't show it's true colors.
that saddens me.

so i've gotten back into some scrapping lately, thank God cause i was about to go insane. i've tried a few things that i've been wanting to try for a while:

i've missed the blogging world! i've made some positive changes to my blog, such as stalkerisms on the side. my mind went blank while adding those stalking links, but if we've talked on blogger or i've mentioned that i love your blog, i would looove a comment reminding me to add you to my list! i'm working on adding some more cool stuff :) i still can't figure out how to add titles to my posts. there is no title box when i "create a new post". oh well!

* i didn't join a sorority. i didn't get a bid from the one i wanted... sororities are a huge investment, both emotionally, socially, financially... and if it's not what i *really* want... then i'm not doing it. it's okay, because i'm a junior and i kind of expected to be let down. it hurt, but i'm pretty much over it. only because i have already made so many fabulous friends here at FSU. i felt super-sorry for the freshman who were let down, because they feel like they have no-one here.

* tomorrow marks the end of the second week of school. wow! time flies by so fast! i feel like i don't even know what my classes are *about* yet.. lol! i'm taking:
- psych and law (yippee!)
- schooling third world countries (thought it would be a woohoo but it's a boo)
- spanish 2 (actually getting hard)
- psych DIS (i run experiments in a lab for a grad student. kind of fun but totally time consuming)

* my girl jen at ISLAND GIRL SCRAPWEAR is having a big sale, and they have some awesome tees. i ordered a couple tonight... gotta love the "size matters?" one. haha.

* PANDORA is probably the coolest site around right now. you type in the name of an artist that you love, and they play random songs by that artist and artists (whom you may or may not know of) who sound similar to the one you entered. some great stuff going on over there.

* "flintstones sour gummies" vitamins are so yum. and a great source of health! recommended for children and adults alike.

* i forgot how much love hurts. does time really heal things? :-

thanks so much for your help with my last questions! i really appreicate it! i just have one last question.. how do you keep up with everyone's blogs that you love?! i want to read everyone's but is there a way to keep them in the same place so i could just click on them all?!

sooo i had a busy, but great, week! my mom spent 8 days in florida (from NY) because i have THREE WEEKS off from school! and then it's back for fall semester. WOW the summer flew by (at times, i thought it would never end... i was at school by myself for 3 months.) anyway, mom and i drove to tampa, clearwater beach, sarasota, and then back to tallahassee! it was so great spending time with her... i miss her even more now :(. here are a couple of my fave pics (after playing in PSE of course):

does anyone else love PROJECT RUNWAY? i'm watching it right now. tim gunn just told uli that her dress was gorgeous. OMG and he told jeffrey that his dress was stunning! is he on drugs? lol! i never hear him say stuff like that. oh okay, he's back to criticizing vincent. who i don't like anyway so that's good. ohhh no. my two faves (kayne and alison) have not created pretty pieces. yikes.

ohhh! today was the submission day for LAST SCRAPPER STANDING round 2! the dare was to use *13* photos exactly. i was immediately turned off (i usually use one!!) but i thought for a while and actually like what i came up with. here it is!

the acrylic letters at the top left say "please". i just hate my scanner. i don't know how to fix these kinds of things when i post my LOs. oh well :(.

one more thing and i'll shut up! i finished my last week's book yesterday: PREP by curtis sittenfeld. i HATED it until the very last chapter, and then i LOVED it! it got... good! very dirty and sexual. but GOOD! lol. i would recommend reading the last chapter and that's it. at least that's how i would have done it. which is weird because i usually love every book i read lol! i am now about to start VANISHING ACTS by jodi picoult. i've heard good things about her!

so today was the first deadline for the "LAST SCRAPPER STANDING" contest! there were like, 500 people who signed up to participate. wow! some of my *fave* peas were on the list! i was so inspired *and* so intimidated! i began to wonder why i was even participating. so i talked to my mom about it, and she reminded me that it's not about winning! lol. i really want to challenge/ push myself to create things that i wouldn't normally do. and just being a part of something this fun/great makes me feel awesomely creative! :) oh, and knowing that my stuff is out there and hopefully inspiring at least one other artist is totally cool too. the challenge was to journal over the photo. this is what i came up with. it was tons of fun. of course it looks much better IRL than the crappy scan. oh well!

yay! my first post. so what am i going to talk about?
i have no clue. maybe i'll just talk about some things i'm loving right now!
here i go.

how cool is this (for any Vera Bradley fans out there?) my school's bookstore has all this awesomeness. there are also pencils, notebooks, dividers, notepads, etc. they cost a ridiculous amount of money so i sprung for the binder ($13) and the notecards ($11). my mom told me i should have bought one of everything ;). so i told her i was using her credit card.

my amazing summer 06 sunglasses. every girl should be a juicy girl. end of story.

yesss! july is over. and this means that i can legally SHOP again! but how awesome is it that a bunch of peas and i did this MUST CROP NO SHOP challenge? we didn't shop for the 31 days of july and tried to complete as many projects as we could. the person who created the most won, and guess what? it was ME! i was so totally excited. i've never really won any contests before, and everyone congratulated me on my 76 (roughly) layouts. and one card. lol. apparently, i have won a RAK! how exciting is that?!! anyway, this was a photo of my first trip home from LSS when the contest was ended. and yes i have stopped there one or two more times since august 1st ;).

okay i am now thinking of lots more i want to share. but it will have to wait! blogging is fun :).
